First time out
Well, this is my first time "blogging" so I need to decide to what purpose I want to put this blog -- "Caomai's Journal". Caomai is a pseudonym so I can feel better about stating my opinions in a moderately anonymous way.
Shall this be a diary? If so, what am I willing to entrust to the expansive Internet? Oddly enough, I have often felt compelled to begin a diary but am rather pessimistic about how "safe" it is to put down extremely private, possibly angry and often more emotional comments than I would verbally express. Two girlfriends -- one high school, one college -- burned me on this by studious application of guilt and an assurance that they would be objective (or at least be properly empathetic).
Might this become a place for commentary without significant emotional content? Safer, but to what purpose, exactly? If I would rather not express myself then why go to the trouble to make sure that my comments are available to (potentially) wide audience?
Perhaps I shall just communicate vicariously as "Caomai" and permit some emotional transference and amplification to my feelings and concerns.
I guess I can only wait and see ...
